In the past year, Toyota has recalled 11.5 million vehicles. That's more than the projected number of units to be SOLD by the Big Three this year. While we can't control the quality of our vendors' parts, we CAN control the quality of the installation of them. We can't afford to suffer a recall less than a year before contract, giving the company a reason to point fingers at the work force. Attachments:

Good post, and I agree. Managment at this plant currently seems to "get it". They have been on the right side of quality decisions for about the last year or two.

I agree. We have had a few weeks off or short work weeks due to parts or vendor issues this year. I don't like down weeks, but I would rather be off so they can fix something than send it out and have to fix it later. I have started to think QUALITY is Job #1 again rather than quantity.
