We want to thank everyone that supported the KTP Red Cross Blood Drive on September 29, 2010.
Adding the Bloodmobile bus was a tremendous success. We set another record for participation at KTP.
The Red Cross was able to get 188 productive pints from 237 participating. What is equally as exciting is
that we had 42 first time donors. KTP leadership appreciates our employees giving to this vital
community project.
We recently received a gracious thank you note from the CEO of the Regional Red Cross, Linda Voss
stating,
"Thank you for your leadership in helping the American Red Cross and our hospitals meet the
blood product needs of their patients. Your recent blood drive was an outstanding success.
Blood usage continues to be high in the area, and we count on these units to supply the hospitals
with the products they need to help individuals who are having a surgical procedure, experiencing
a trauma, dealing with cancer, born prematurely and for many other uses. We couldn’t do this
without the generous donors and sponsors who make this possible.
We look forward to a lasting partnership between Ford and the American Red Cross to collect
blood products to help residents throughout the community, including the employees of your
corporation and their families.
Our thanks is extended to all of the individuals at Ford who helped with the blood drive and to
those who rolled up their sleeves to make a donation."
We truly appreciate our employees' willingness to donate blood for the good of the community. In
addition, the Red Cross wished to show their gratitude to KTP participants and conducted a drawing for
two exciting gifts. The winners were:
-A Personalized Louisville Slugger Bat - Winner - Wayne Wilson, 56002B
-University of Louisville Basketball Print featuring former Louisville Greats such as Darryl Griffith, Pervis
Ellison, Wes Unseld, and others - Winner - Edward Stotts, 4610-2-E.
Thanks again for making the Blood Drive a great success and lets keep the momentum going for the next
Blood Drive.
