I'm pretty sure our bargaining commitee will have re-opened the contract again by then and agree to let Ford keep the cash. They can add it to our cola, raises, bonuses, 1 minute per hour, ETC so that Ford can be competetive.

According to the formula set by Fearborn( I mean Dearborn): YTD profit multiplied by the arbitrary coefficient of 1.24832 or x2+10x+25 divided by the value of 3y before (or is it AFTER?) pre-tax global adjustments and then subtracting the number of hairs on Malally's butt equals our profit sharing percentage. Or $16.87 before taxes and union dues. I don't know why you people need me to explain this every year. It's simple (Ford) math.

cant make a prediction scott. but in the past, profit sharing was equal to roughly $1,000 per billion of net profit. through the first 3 quarters, ford has posted nearly $6.4 billion in net profit. based on those numbers...you can guess maybe 7-8,000 dollars.

We can only hope for a profitable 4th quarter.

The number of Ford UAW employees has dropped significantly. It should equate to a good number for those of us that chose to remain here.

Go ahead and plan on that 10 billion "one time" outgoing payment for some special deferred expense this fourth quarter.

You forgot you are dealing with Ford Motor Co. and there is still enough time to have a "Fourth Quarter Loss" to off-set the "Three Quarters Profit" which means you will receive the same amount of "Profit as the "Christmas Bonus!"

It has to be close to what we got in 99 unless they changed how they add it up.Maybe Kess can answer this one.

7 billion in 99 and we got 8100 on average. We have made 6 billion in profit this year and thats after they have paid the debt down,So if we do one billion this last quarter we should get close to 8100 unless our union gave up something they arnt telling us.What say you union leaders?

The amount you receive for profit sharing is Dependent on how much you made during the calendar year. That is all straight time pay no overtime money is included.

Don't forget the pensions being underfunded, GLOBALLY.......
Of course I'd give up a profit sharing check to get a toilet seat fixed, a new stall door, a couple of toilets unclogged, a few boogers scraped off the walls, and the feces-stew off the floor in the frame line men's bathroom.
But I'm just odd that way.........

And your hourly pay is much better than in '98...so let the excuses commence. If it's based on straight pay only, how can it not be a good payment? Regardless of FoMoCo Credit being taken out of the equation...we will be getting a check. Any word on our union wide grievance regarding getting some of our cuts back? Since salary received some of their givebacks already...where is ours???

Maybe FORD can buy another car company like they have in the past to avoid paying out bigger P.S. checks. They can then run that company in the ground and practically give it away years later. It has been done before.

No way...newest prediction $7500...especially since they're expecting the next quarter to exceed all the previous...for a new record profit, far exceeding '99.
