I work on door line and I think from what I've heard is door line moving to the back so floor pan scan b made in our spot in put directly on the underbody line. The doorline shipouts and all subassembly lines r pruducing thousands of shipouts for other areas 28,000 alone on doorline. Hard to keep up with line and shipouts there working b and c crew over 2 to 4 hrs a couple of times a week. I heard from a couple of people that the ubody was going to stop production next yr is now revamping body style so there keeping it. I think there only running ubody on a and c crew already. Don't think they could keep up on just one shift. But we all no that anything is possible in this place.

We run U bodys on all shifts. However I believe subassemblies are only built up on 2 shifts.

Never say never. Take it from someone who worked A crew boxline for over 13 years. Never thought they'd cut a shift especially A crew but they did and union said there would be no OT but they worked 12 hours today and yesterday on #1 shift. Granted there were some special circumstances with the 6 ft. box outer die in stamping running them out of parts but there have been plenty of other times that OT has been worked. Part of the reason why several people wanted to transfer to #1 boxline because of potential OT. Again, never say never because if they can find a way, they can and will do that.

I was on the box line...I left because you never knew how long you were working...I ran from the OT they were working.
