from Scott E's newsletter... "We have also been notified that electronic cigarettes are not allowed to be smoked inside KTP. There have been no clinical studies presented to the FDA verifying the safety of the electronic cigarettes. Therefore the health affects on the people who use these or the people around them who are exposed to the vapor are unknown." Second hand water vapor causes or increases the risk of drowning I guess...

THE LOUISVILLE METRO SMOKING BAND DOES NOT INCLUDE SMOKELEE E-CIGS MAYBE THEY SHOULD CHECK THE LAWS But as a private company Ford can implement their policy as they see fit. Yes I am a smoker and no I personally have no problems with E Cigs. Just stating the facts of the matter.

That dip and chew is supposed to be banned also. I'm not a smoker and do not like to be around it..but why would dip or chew not be allowed?? Nothing illegal about those products. That is crazy-as long as it is disposed of correctly it is like saying we can't chew gum or use hard candy, cough drops, etc. while at work...Ford is going a little too far these days...where is the union??? Forgot-that must be a "gray area" ....

I could be wrong but I do not think dip/chew is banned. I see a lot of people dipping. Some mgmt even dips so I am pretty sure it is not against the rules...just smoking. And FYI first offense smoking is an automatic three day suspension.

Personal addictions are hard to fight yet millions of people have gotten over them. Ford is a private facility, that already has strict rules about "electronic devices" Most people have gotten used to just waiting till break time to smoke.

Sorry, but an e-cig is way different than a using a cell phone or camera...in fact, itsreally funny to even being compared to one of those. A camera is for disclosing our "secrets" and a cell phone is distracting..what does the e-cig do?

Yes the ban on Ecigs is BS. Yes I personally have been caught smoking and got three days off. But like I said they have the right to implement THEIR policy as they see fit. It is not a contractual issue. We may not like it but we must all still abide by it. Now I will get down off my soap box.
