Union Meeting Minutes
11/9/2010
LAP Hall
KTP Chairman's Report
• Order bank: Super Duty 33,426 units; Expedition 7,344 units and Navigator
1,677.
• The schedule through November is 1,340 units per day. The first two weeks of
December is 1,320 units per day. The last two weeks of December is 1,209
units.
• National Proposals are being accepted now. You can turn them into your
committeeperson or the in plant Union office. These should be turned in by
December 3, 2010.
• Flu shots will be available on November 10, 2010 and November 11, 2010.
Location room #105 at gate 6. Times are as follows: 5am-9am; 2pm-6pm and
11pm-3am.
• "Equity of Sacrifice" grievance is being reviewed by the UAW lawyers. There has
been no date set yet for arbitration. As we receive information we will pass it on
to the membership.
• If you are off for an unforeseen FMLA eligible event you must request FMLA the
first or second day you are absent. If it is foreseen then you must give thirty days
notice.

• The company is reviewing bids for the tear out at this time. The plan is for the
tear out to be complete by the end of February and machinery being installed by
March.
• TT build will be in June/July 2011 and jobs will be bid as necessary for the
launch.
• There will be plenty of bids for the people that will be returning from KTP.
• Two ILO employees and one active signed up to transfer to Lima.
President's Report
• Thanks to everyone that helped our endorsed candidates.
• There is still storage space available at the Fern Valley Union Hall. The space is
outdoors and 12x40 covered parking spot. The price is $65 a month. Please
see the Financial Secretary for additional information.
• Both plants are having winter coat drives. Please place your gently used winter
coat into the bins located at the selected plant entrances or the Union halls.
• Local 862 through our Community Service committee has sponsored two
children for Make a Wish. Thanks to all that have helped. On Friday November
19, 2010, the Make a Wish tell-a-thon will be at the Westport Village Shopping
Center. The UAW will present their check at the time. Anyone wishing to
volunteer to man a phone should contact the Union hall at 241-9491.
• Applications for the Local 862 Christmas bowling tournament Monday December
27, 2010, and Tuesday December 28, 2010, and the Region 3 Bowling
Tournament February 19-20, 2011, and February 26-27, 2011, are at the union
halls. Both tournaments will be at the Kingpin Lanes in Jeffersontown, Ky.
• The Region 3 Auto Council Christmas Party will be December 11, 2010, at the
Sheraton in Indianapolis. Cost is $25 and tickets must purchased by November
19, 2010, and are available at the Union Halls.
