you were suppose to do that this yr for any vac you wanted up to June 2011. For vac you want after June 2011 you will request that during vac scheduling done in the spring before June. You can request a week off between now and June using the Day Off slips. Just write vac or per on it and some supervisors will allow it and get it approved or denied depending on how many are off in your area on the dates requested.

The way they do the vacation scheduling is a joke. I don't know anyone that filled those paper's out that received them back. I filled 2 of them out and never received a yes or no for either.

the vacation time I'm wanting is after June 2011. As far as filling out those surveys I filled out 2 last year and my name never got put on the calender. Everytime I fill a personal/ Vacation slip it gets turned down immediately. So I will just let our union handle it from here. thanks for the input.

I have been at KTP for 2 years. I have filled out 2 vacation slips and both were returned and put on the calender. I work in paint.

I think it depends on the dept you work in as usual. In body, I filled out a vacation slip, but was not on the calendar at all. I filled out some others, got denied...even though I had seniority on people that were given that week. I ended up getting my 13th option. LOL

It's the truth. I don't imagine having this incompetence in other depts...just body. I saw a lot if incompetence in Trim and Frame. Got harrassed olmost daily by mgmt in Trim. 4 years in Body and havent had one Sup that I could not at least tolerate. Only got wrote up twice back in 2007 for messing up on an operation. I also keep documentation when I get granted a personal day or flip home with personal time. I then go back and make sure I was PAID and not just coded on the DROT. The key thing is when problems arise DOCUMENT EVERYTHING no matter how small it is.

Chassis is the same way. You don't know your on vacation until the next week when you get paid and you worked.

I can't argue this scheduling process is a cluster F. We will keep beating on them to get it right.
JGT, to answer your question If you are June eligable the earliest you will be able to ask is when they do the survey at the begining of April. The survey period runs from May to May so anything up to May you could ask for now.
