how can it only be $5000!!! In '99 they made $7.2billion and the average was $8000. Haven't they already reported over $7billion for the first 3 quarters? Google "new york times ford profit sharing" and read the article from today and the one for '99.

Projected total profit should be over 9 billion...anything under 6000 will be disrespectful.

I believe Ford is supposed to report 2010 earnings on February 7th,2011. (per zacks.com earnings calendar) If earnings are upwards of $9-10billion, we should see better profit sharing than in '99 right??? They better show us the $$$!!!

Projected total profit should be over 9 billion...anything under 6000 will be disrespectful. Agreed!!! Even with the money being spent for retool and what not. It SHOULD be closer to 8k than 5k.

$6.4 billion through the first 3qtrs of 2010. I'm guessing $2 billion for fourth qtr for total of $8.4billion for 2010. $7.2 billion for '99 and the average profit sharing check was $8k. Do the math...were gonna get $575.00 and a free oil change ;D

Don't forget the free lunch that we got for the Christmas holidays. That was an easy $1 to $2 thousand per person easy there.

I predict: $1 off coupon on the dollar menu @ MacDo's. Plus, coupon for test drive of new Escape/Kuga. Gas not included.

One of the give back contracts that got voted in took ford motor credit out of our formula . So anything they make we get crap FYI.
It said at the top" Profit sharing wil be unchanged except ford motor credit will be now excluded. "
Not many noticed
We made 2.6 billion and got $450 8 billion = 450x4 = 2k max IMO
I hope I am wrong

Somebody say my name?!
Here's the deal...since I am such a good coworker!
If we get $2000 or less, I will give each and every one of you a handjob in lieu of your expected loss. It's okay, really! I have carpal tunnel in both hands...I can't feel a thing, so it's not gay!
After our short profit sharing checks are handed out, you can find me at Gate 6. I'll be the guy wearing wearing mittens and magnetic bracelets around my wrists.

This is confusing I looked in the benefits book at profit sharing and the formula makes Little or no sense.
I went to the Contract book Volume III this gives a little better example of how profit sharing is calculated. there are some obscure factors that only Ford can give. They are factors about what is deemed profit and what is not( example is the sale of Volvo is not profit) there is alot of little things not included.
Maybe some one else can look at what is written in the contract and the formula they are using and come up with something better the Numbers I get are more than $5000.
