How did a low seniority, non Ford owner, new Toyota buying KTP employee get to go to the Detroit Auto Show to represent UAW 862? Not only that, she is getting paid 8 hours a day, 7 days a week !!! WTF

We have them at LAP too. Just because they sit on a UAW committee, I guess they are immune from everything anti-UAW. This is ridiculous. I'm sure if something was said or done about this, there would be a law suit in no time flat. There was a big enough stink when these f**kers had to park their shit out in left field. I'm surprised no one at KTP has penstriped it yet.

i think its funy u are scared to name drop. u talk shit but when its time to drop names u r scared lol On a public forum? Yea, what a better way to get sued. At least the OP had the balls to post this. Are you related to the person in question? If not then why do you seem to take a defensive postion for her? Maybe you drive something other then a Ford product? Anyhow, I hope she gets her head straight and realizes the she is a riding billboard for the company she works for. I'm sure she must give the neighbors , friends and family good reviews of Ford.

As another poster pointed out, it doesn't matter who it is...what matters is why she was chosen and who sent her...accountability.

How can ANYBODY be shocked by this?
I'm 93 and I remember a time when a Jap car in the parking lot would get keyed or flipped.
Now we've got "union" people buying them without any hesitation.
Like the skilled trades guy who parks his new mexican made VW....
Or the line worker that occasionally drove his wife's BMW.....

The point is not her name but the fact she was chosen. I think just about any of us might take a expense paid trip to one of the biggest car shows in the nation. The selection process of the individual is what I question.

I wonder if the individual also has a handicapped parking permit for that fine Toyota garbage?

Scott sent her. He had no idea she drove a foriegn car. People don't normaly tatoo in on their foreheads.
He sends people all that time he dosen't realy know well, he tries to send a variety of people, not just those that are on committees. If you ever want to go to one ask him, I think he keeps a running list. May take awhile to get to one due to the amount of people that ask.
You may want to be prepared to be asked if you drive a toyota in the future.

Thanks kess, I think we need a check on what these people drive before they are sent in our name.Pure BS

You shouldn't have to ask what they drive...sad they would drive anything other than a Ford.

If Toyota and the rest of the imports are so bad why is the UAW dead set to make them "due paying members". If by some strike of lightning the did get one of these plants to agree to join the UAW, would it then be OK to buy their product?

If you dont get it tiger66 I dont think there is anything we can say to you.Yes we want to unionize the imports and that would be for OUR OWN GOOD.We should still not buy them

hey kess, hears a bright idea, how about letting people represent us at the auto show that actually had a hand in preparing these vehicles for the show. I know a few that put alot time into these vehicles, time away from family, to get these vehicles ready and have never had an opportunity to go the auto show. Any show (TEXAS STATE FAIR) would be nice to go and represent our plant and union, but we dont kiss up enough to get the opportunity like some people that don't have a single thing to do with these show vehicles, uh.

So it's all about the money-even if you get it from the japs that the UAW hates so bad.

I'm just saying be true to your beliefs-if you hate them, don't invite them to join, if you do invite them to join and they do, then they are part of you.

Unionizing the foreign auto companies makes it a level playing field for all of us as far as labor costs as some news and politicians pointed out!The subject was sending someone that doesn't drive a uaw vehicle.I'm not going to sling dirt but if Kess wants everybody to believe that the BC sends random people to these special functions guess we'll also be getting them car vouchers real soon!!!!
