I hope the LAPers turn U-trim into a ghost town.

They did a survey of skilled trades at KCAP about a week ago, not sure about production They haven't surveyed anyone in production that I know of. I did hear about surveying skilled trades. From what I was told. A bunch (about half) said yes. Not sure if that is true....you know how rumors are at Ford.

Ok, Yes, they are asking if you are going to want to go back. But, this is just to know how many people the plant is gonna need. It is not binding. If you change your mind between now and then that is fine. This is not the official survey.
KCAP has not been asked yet, that is bacause they are told they are gettign a product but no product has been announced. This could make a difference on the order of who gets asked.
Again, this is just a survey. You will not have to stick by what you tell them at this point.

Yes, most or all have seen the bulliten about the unofficial survey....we do know it is not binding...but it is progress and a glimmer of hope for those of us wanting to return home!!!! I believe they will leave KCAP in the dark until after the chance to follow there product will closes...therefore they will be making an uninformed decision on what to do? Just like those following the Exployer to Chicago did without a confirmed product just rumors of the New Generation Escape....just my thoughts on the matter.

Please post when they survey everyone at KCAP to follow their product. KCAP should be surveyed prior to the ones at KTP that have RTBU rights to return to LAP.

Yes, listen to TonyV......that way you can let the people know (people meaning: those who want to go back to LAP) when you are transferring to LAP then everyone can call, bitch, complain and jockey for position before you can even say hello to a union leader here. I transferred to KTP almost 10 years ago and believe me, NONE of the employees have YOUR BEST INTEREST IN MIND, only THEIR OWN. I say keep it to yourself, then when you show up, see how nice you're treated.

I believe the ones at LAP are more professional than what you state. We welcomed Ohio, Atlanta and many others in the past with little problem. The people at LAP have always gone out of their way to provide information to incoming employees. I would never sell them short.....or the union leaders either.

Setting up trim departments always have major problems. Trim has always been and will always be a tough place to work. Frustration, physical problems with ergo, unclear procedures, and personality conflicts just add to the chaos. (As you can attest, I tend to be very vocal)
I appreciate the union answering questions and you in particular for coming on this forum to forward information to the membership. The more communication - the stronger the union. That has always been my personal experience.
