Yes they did! They did a interest survey today on dayshift in SUV trim. I am on line 4 and they surveyed the whole line.

Yeah, they are surveying. They say it is just so they can get an idea of the numbers of people who might be leaving. I decided to tell them the opposite of what I was thinking just for the hell of it.

I heard they also surveyed on the engine line and were telling them that if they wanted to the could go on a voluntary layoff beginning March 1st.

They did a survey of skilled trades at KCAP about a week ago, not sure about production

They are supposed to survey KCAP for following product prior to surveying RTBU's at CAP and KTP according to the master agreement. If this is for a voluntary layoff, am I to assume they want us to go out on ILO?!!!!

If the newspaper is correct and the name changed from escape to whatever that other name was, then its very possible KCAP can't follow the product. That is how they screwed our Atlanta brothers and sisters calling it the 500 for a year.

The 500 was changed afterward and it was a bunch of crap. The 'concept' vehicle may or may not be the Escape. But KCAP can follow their product because of the announcement of LAP producing the Escape.(I do not expect many to come due to their announcement, however.)

Tonight on Night shift there was no survey done but of course things were quiet lively after 1st break! I guess when we go back they will survey Night shift.

received a phone call today...ktp asking if i want to return to lap...said they just want to get an estimate of how many want to return....said there is plenty of time to make your decision

Question for Kessinger: If KCAP is not going to be surveyed 1st for LAP re-opening with the Escape(Which they can follow):
Then why were MTP employees surveyed and brought into KTP prior to 862 members from LAP? They were following their product in the Expedition/Navigator. Why did LAP emloyees not get surveyed first? Why were LAP employees laid off until the 24 MTP employees or so were on KTP rolls?

Do you only have to accept a job if the pay is close to what you make at Ford? Anything else I may need to know? Is everything done over the phone/internet? Thanks for the info.

Not necessarily true. If any one is laid off in our local from KTP and a job posting goes up for LAP - they would be on the combined in-zone preferential placement list.
Volume 1, - page 219, under step 2
It reads:
STEP 2 COMBINED IN-ZONE PREFERENTIAL PLACEMENT LIST – In-Zone Posting Process • Protected Status Employees (Including those who have exhausted 48 weeks of layoff are now back in Protected Status under the code VRLP) • Employees on Indefinite Layoff • Active Employees at locations with employees in Protected Status or on Indefinite Layoff – Closed Plant Return To Area – Mandatory Placement

I dont mind KTP to much.I feel lap will turn into the samething soon.So dont matter what plant you work at.I just want an extra bullit in my gun thats only reason im staying.
