I heard a rumor today that we are working next Saturday and 2 Saturdays in March. Anybody else hear this?

Man from Dakkota told our line Next Sat and March 5 and 26 also. Also some retirees that work for vendors had that same info. Heard that RUMOR all day. Of course no one knew the source.

Stock department says Saturday's scheduled are Feb.12, March 5, 26 April 9, 30 May 14, June 4, 18...But it is all tentative...??

I'll believe it when I'm working those saturdays. With the gas and oil prices bouncing around, it is going to be a wait and see game.

Well the order bank has jumped up alot the last two weeks despite the gas prices and with the missed days/short days due to parts and weather the last two weeks, I would say that we will definately be working some Saturdays.

Ford schedules 6 Saturdays a year, for every plant doesn't mean they work them. with the two days off, we lost over 1200 units. they will have to be made up. We have been working longer through out the week to make some units up. But a Saturday or two may be necessary... That's my Guess!!!!!

Well, since Dayshift worked all last week night shift should have to work this saturday. With OT equilization and all that, but when was the last time they went by that?

The last time was Saturday December 18th B-crew had to work according to the OT equalization...not that long ago...Dayshifts turn!!! |

Sorry, Kessinger hadn't chimed in because he hadn't been on here.
They wanted to work last Sat. but we were able to talk them out of it since it was another very short notice (due to the part shortage). But that is why we will be running max we can on daily OT.
Yes we will be working two Sat. in March. I would give you the dates but they change every time you talk to someone. So, IF YOU NEED A SAT IN MARCH OFF PUT IN A DAY OFF REQUEST FOR IT just to be safe. We may put out the dates they are currently giving us. But when we do that, and it changes you guys start posts about how much you hate us. So for now, yes we will be working 2 in march and many many more this year it seems.

alttolap, That was kinda unfair of me. Not all depts. have accepted them. We argue about this every time. But, we need this issue to come to a head since we are gonna be working a lot of Saturdays, so if they don't accept someones let me know so I can take up that fight please.
