How the crap can Gm get 3000 and chrysler get 1000 when they went into Bankruptcy and didnt make the profits WE DID.Something is up when we where going to only 3000 before Bob king got us 2000 more because Ford had a good heart. Please help me here people Almost seems they took all our profit sharing and passed it onto the others.

That's the same thing I was thinking Marcus. Strange how Bob King was talking about a new profit sharing plan he wants to go to that benifits all uaw and not just certain ones. And then our profit share is announced a lot less than we expected and GM workers get more than half what we get! From a BANKRUPT Co? Very Strange!

JUST SAY NO !!!!! We can be as mad as we want but it all comes down to the IUAW and the Companies both knowing that we have a lot of UAW members that are to scared to vote NO come contract time. It`s time for those members to garb their balls and vote NO ! Even if they like the first new contract . I`m sure there will be something in it that they will hide from us.

The bonus pay for the salaried managers has me outraged. My UAW union brothers and sisters at GM and Chrysler though, they deserve every penny they can get. I would like more profit sharing, but not at the expense of some other blue collar worker. Ford, GM, and Chrysler would like nothing better than to split us up with fighting amongst ourselves.

I just saw on CNN that GM will have an average of $4,000 profit sharing wich makes our profit sharing a big crock of shit when we didnt file bankruptcy or take any government money and that we well over profited GM in profits. Hey ladies and Gentlemen the butt fucking has began but we need to stick together and make changes our selves cause the IUAW wont be cause they will sell out for a little cash in there pocket like Gettefinger did with his sorry ass and believe me Bob King ain't any better

Yeah I saw the AP news report an avg of $4000. They made 4.2 billion + their 4th quarter. How can we only get a $3000 (not counting the "gift" or $2000) when our profits were 8 billion... Don't we have the same formulas for all three companys?

We made twice the profit and have less than half of the employees that they have. Something doesn't add up. It must be that Ford math!

As we all know, if we were still under the old math, we would be getting checks near the 10k mark...so I guess GM is still under the old math.

The $4000 could be more. In the article it said the official amount would be announced late February in the earning release. I agree how could they really not make a profit because they still owe the taxpayers, yet pay their employees $4000+ GM's profit-sharing formula hasn't changed since it went into effect in 1983, spokeswoman Kim Carpenter said. This year, blue-collar employees' share of the profits benefited from GM's smaller workforce and better balance sheet, she said. Ford made record profits, didn't have to pay taxpayers, and we were only suppose to receive $3000 dollars. Wake up people. Ford and the IUAW are only out to take care of themselves. We need to stand together and take care of ourselves and our families. They think we are suppose to be grateful for the $5000 when we have gave up over $30,000 per member in concessions. Salary employees who made all the dumb decisions that caused them to go in the hole gets rewarded with bonuses of up to 50% of their salaries. Since most range close to $100,000+ guess what their bonuses will be? Can we say $40,000 or more?
