Buckeye, I totally agree with you about the animosity that was shown to Ohio transfers. There was an election coming in the next year and I believe there was a power struggle between the two slates,that coupled with our building chairman allegedly making statements about Ohio transfers. Seemed like both sides acted badly. Our team elected a guy from Loraine, the lady that worked across from me and my tag guy were from Ohio and took great care of me when I first hired in. The team had problems but where people were from was not one of them. It is sad that people acted(and still do) like that. Was not trying to justify peoples actions as there is no good reason.
All of us want a better workplace/union. We just have different ways of accomplishing it. If I have a problem with a union brother I go directly to him instead of the round about way of a message board. Use whatever works for you.
Marcus, I take it you meant the elected union at LAP is better than KTP's. If you work at KTP, the way you wrote it does not reflect well on you. We (including you) are the union.
One other thing I would like to say, the management we have from LAP is definately a different breed than ours. They do not seem to have the us against them attitude(yet). Hopefully you will get them back before they learn that.
