I asked Scot Eskridge if KTP hourly employees will be able to go to LAP when it re-opens. Here is his reply:
Tony, to answer your question today that you asked me. I have been working with Steve to get the KTP the right to go to LAP before they hire anyone off the street. Steve has agreed with me to let this happen ( I say that because their is not contractual language to make this happen ) and I have also got the local management to agree with this as well. The next step is to get the international to agree with this. I have talked to our international rep and he was not opposed to it, but he would have to get approval from the ones above him. Actually, I am leaving for Kansas City Saturday and will be gone next week with sub/national ford meeting. This is one of the things I have on my agenda to try to get fixed. Hopefully this answers your question
