Jacket Award Program
General Overview
The jacket is union made and referred to as a ¾ length jacket, with the length ending
about mid-thigh. The outer shell of the coat is black with blue trim. Each coat will
have the UAW Wheel, Ford Oval and "Partners In Quality" embroidered on the jacket.
Introduction
As the New Year begins, we would like to thank all UAW Ford hourly, salaried,
agency and supplemental employees with a Jacket in recognition for the outstanding
progress made in Quality. We are proud to report that Ford ranks first in the 3rd
Quarter U.S. GQRS results for Customer Satisfaction at 82%, an improvement of 2
percentage points, surpassing both Toyota (75%) and Honda (81%). In addition, the
Company’s TGW’s for Ford Lincoln Mercury vehicles in the U.S. market are at 1140,
an improvement of 5.5% and statistically equivalent to Honda (1113).
Available Sizes
Available sizes are Small through 7XL. There is no distinction between Men and
Women sizes and there are no tall sizes available. Please review the chart below
for size dimensions when making your selection:

Jacket Program
How To Measure
Back Length: For your jacket length, measure a well-fitted jacket
from underneath the collar band at the center of the back of the
garment to the hem.
Sleeve Length: Measure a shirt or jacket that fits you well as
follows: Lay the shirt or jacket flat. Measure form the center
of the back (not the shoulder), just below the collar, to the
point of the shoulder, then down to the tip of the cuff.
Cross Back: Measure across as shown from sleeve seam to
sleeve seam.
Chest: Place tape measure loosely under the arms. Around the
fullest part of the chest.
Sweep: Measure the horizontal length of the bottom of the jacket.
