Democrats wants the public to think that workers are standing up to the powerful. But there's no fat-cat owner wanting to pocket more profits here. The public unions' target in Wisconsin is the taxpayer.

This is the public(government) unions versus the people.

For much of the retarded Left, this about protecting the power of government labor. Again, this ignores the fundamental difference between public-sector unions and private-sector unions.

The difference here is:
campaign money by government-sector unions, ....collected through mandatory dues, help elect the public officials who are then supposed to negotiate with them: ......"The public unions sit, in effect, on both sides of the bargaining table." ....with our TAX money....
Our Private union gives money to politicians(yes, I know, politicians can not exept our money...lol)....which have no say in how we negotiate with Ford....(Maybe Government Motors and chrysler now..lol)


We are a private union that negotiates with a private company....if the company is going broke, all of us(union and company) has to make adjustments(yes, I think we gave up too much, but now we nogotiate to get most, if not all back....it will take time...)so the company wont go out of business.


While governments won't go out of business, they are going broke.

This country is going broke.....all I ask is for my fellow americans to take a couple a steps back and look at the big picture.....

The government has no money and people including big bird is going to get hurt....

Tired of:

Republican wants to cut PBS.... and Democrats come out on TV with Big Bird and Elmo....."you see kids, Reps hate your kids by taking big bird away"......instead of taking A couple a steps back and realizing that having social security in the future is more important than a fucking bird......

Erosion in worker rights.

Benefits eroding, or just going away.
Influence of money in politics.
Destruction of regulations in food safety, business practices, polution, banking, consumer protection.......


A TOTAL power grab by the wealthiest in this country in an attempt to erase the New Deal. They've wanted to do it for DECADES, and now they are.

Roosevelt did great things for working citizens. No one is perfect, so I do not see a reason holding this one mistake against him.

I don't care if the Unions are Public or Private. It all comes down to a small group of people, most making over 200K a year, telling a much larger group of people they don't deserve the 40K a year they have to collective bargain to make.

....This would not be happening if the public unions had the support of the public. Many of those public unions have forfeited that support by clinging to lush compensation packages at a time when workers in the private sector ......including private union members ......are enduring the toughest economy in generations. A time when public services are being scaled back ruthlessly while generous labor contracts have continued on autofuckingpilot.

Public unions..... for example, help elect their own bosses, routinely channeling large campaign donations to candidates who wind up sitting across from them at the bargaining table. Those “bosses” have little to lose by spending other people’s money........That last sentence is so fucking dangerous on all fucking levels!

Our own Senator Rand Paul has said the ONLY way Ford can make money is to go non-union.

You are about to see the broadest onslaught against unionism in this country, it started with the auto bailout, next step is public employee unions, and if/when the GOP controls all branches of the federal govt. you'll see PLENTY of right to work legislations all across the board.

You are not asking them to give a few concessions. They are being asked to give up their right to bargain for their pay and benefits. This is worse than giving up your right to strike.
