This has been my theory of why the U.S. education level has dropped compared to other nations. Keep people ignorant and “entertained” they will stay out of politics and the workings of the economy.
He is right we passively accept this system. Why would a population not demand some honest say in their governance?
Anyone that doubts or is just interested in understanding the “owners” can read Superclass, by David Rothkopf. It has a slight republican undertone, but still gives a good snapshot of how the richest parts of society are setup and manipulate the rest. This shows the organizations of what we never see behind the curtains.
