Looks like I need a new or a rebuild on my 2003 Explorer Transmission 4.0 4x4 with over 180,000 miles. Took it to a dealer, who wanted mad money... They did not even offer to rebuild, he told me that "most" of these cases are broken on the inside already. Offered me one from Ford, installed for $3500.00. I'm still rolling with it, but it's life is running short...
