Ford Motor Co. told dealers today to stop taking orders for vehicles painted in tuxedo black and will limit output of automobiles in three red shades after the earthquake in Japan may cause a shortage of a necessary pigment. The restricted colors are used on the Ford F-150 and Super Duty pickups, the Explorer, Expedition and Lincoln Navigator sport-utility vehicles and the Taurus, Focus and Lincoln MKS sedans. Wow...we outsource our pigment?

I guess the old saying from Henry Ford (You can have any color car you want as long as it is black.) is out the door.

Good one beenaround...something as simple as pigment is cheaper coming from overseas...what a shame!

Heard we were still getting the green pigment from Fukushima, Japan, but it makes your F350 glow in the dark...
