Hearing that its being discussed to move vacation weeks from the two weeks of July to an earlier date (April). Due to the fact of fear of downtime from suppliers in japan.
Don't know how much of its true or not, but this would suck, but I can see it benefiting Ford and not us, cause if we are off due to the shortage, when we come back, they want us to be running full throttle, not on vacation.
Guess we will know by Friday-April 1st.

Really don't see that one happening...if so, how could anyone ever plan a vacation?

Exactly...which is why this was created...so we could sift through all the rumors. I would not put it past Ford to attempt to make an idle week a vacation week if they could...why not try?

This rumor just takes just a little thought to knock down. Half the plant does not even have any vacation time. They wont get it til June. So if they did move vacation they would have to pay those people unemployment and sub costing the company a lot of money. Then fit vacation in for all of those people costing even more money.
That is why when they move all these vacation weeks for the plants none of them are moved up before June. So this one is certainly NOT true. Though I am sure all those June eligable people now wish it was, since that would mean they get 4 weeks off instead of 2.

I have June eligilibity and those were my thoughts exactly as soon as I heard it. But yeah, 4 weeks would be sweet.
