Just heard we are off next week. For laundry list of reasons. We should get the official notice sometime today.

As usual KTPSCHD is correct. The plant will not be running next week.
Joe talked to Scott yesterday about possibly being down the week of April 10th. Scott asked if we had to have a down week, could he try to get that moved due to spring break for a majority of the plant and UK game. Joe was able to convince Detroit to move it to next week So thank you, thank you, thank you Joe for doing that.
The company will be putting out an official notice soon. Some select people may still have to work and those people will be notified by the company.
As of right now we will come back the week of the 10th running 40 hours then go back to OT. that could change but that is the current plan.

The official notice is out. I tried to cut and paste but its a pdf file. It does say stock, trades, quality, and I am usre repair, should check with their supervisor to see if they will work next week or not. As we all know they usually use a few people in every dept.

Well it was late due to them changing it. In fairness to Joe he was trying to notify us a week early for the 10th. But I think most would rather have next week on short notice than the week after.
Sure as shit I say that and someone from somehwere will blast me with a "my kids are off the 10th." If that is the case I am sorry for that but most of the plant has a spring break of next week.

My kids were off last week, but I will take any downtime I cab get. My wife has nexteek off too. Problem is I am in stock and I might have to work but hell that is OK with me too since I had already planned to work next week anyway.
OH before I forget, thanks to all who worked on getting next week off, it may be late but downtime is downtime no matter what.

The maintenance boss just came around wanting to know if anyone needs to schedule some of thier vacation days next week. Apparently they want us to use up our vacation instead of getting TLO like the production workers...aint happening! Now they didn't think we were gonna fall for that one did they?

I think it's awsome to be off. I will try to enjoy it because you know when we come back and the parts arrive, it will be assholes and elbows the rest of the year as long as gas doesn't kill us. GO CATS.....
