My Ford F-150 is acting weird with less than 24,000 miles. Check engine light is on. I'll drop it off at the shop and drive my inherited (1990, lots of sentimental value, 140,000 miles) Dodge today. Please don't hate me (with your stupid stickers) but I'm not parking at BFE. I support Ford and did so before I was an employee but it's nobody's business how I get to work. I could ride my Suzuki and have front row parking.

Call security and give them an accurate description and location. They may not get them the first time but if they continue to park incorrectly they will get stickered eventually. It's the rule and everyone should follow it.

My first car (1982) was a '73 Maverick. 302 4-speed. I know it wasn't stock because there was an automatic shifter nub on the steering column. It would hunt. I owned more Fords than most of you before working at Ford. I also own other non Ford (Dodge, Chevy) vehicles. If I need to drive one of them one day please don't flip it over. Just be glad I made it to work to help you help yourself.

I needed to rent a car yesterday in La Grange at Enterprise. I asked for a Ford..all they had was Toyota and Chryslers. I waited 45 minutes while they brought a Fusion from their Westport Road location. Inconvenient? Hell yes! But I'd rather wait 45 minutes than drive either of those IMPORTS and park it in my drive! Even for one day! I could have said, "It's just a rental..I didn't buy it." But what does it say to my neighbors who know I work at Ford, that I am willing to drive an import just for convenience sake? Bottom line: I'd rather WALK than drive a Toyota!

built here...profits stay here-Domestic built here or anywhere else ...profits leave the country=Import Chrysler is owned by Fiat, as far as I am concerned, that's an import Yeah, I know..UAW and U.S. Government own a good size stake. But at the end of the day, an Italian holds the keys to the cupboard.

Hey (almost30) you just put your foot in your mouth cause you said as i quote built anywhere else but here in AMERICA is an import right well that MEXICO built fusion is not domestic cause its not figured in our profit sharing because its not a northamerican product and its not even union made so whats your definition of an American made product at least my GM is american built and union made lol> just something to think about

Fiat owns about 30% of Daimler/Chrysler. The North American built products are UAW.

FYI, North America = Canada + USA + Mexico, but since Mexico doesn't allow unions (at least I don't think they do) Fusions aren't UAW built products.

mexico is in north america, the fusion counts toward profit share i think.
mexico actually has tougher labor laws that we do here, but they have a lot of corruption and things that keep the law unenforced.
i have a plan on what to do with mexico and the whole drug gang war down there. i guess that belongs in a different thread though.

Now that Ford only owns 3.5% of Mazda, are they allowed to park here also? What about Fords that were built in Canada? How about that Australian built Capri? LOL What a can of worms! LOL

If the car company profits don't stay in this country..IN MY OPINION..they are an import. Doesn't mean they came here on a boat. Fusion is made by the company I work for, so any profit they make makes them a stronger company.

Mexico allows unions. Just as long as you don't mind the inconvenience of getting beat up or your house fire bombed for trying to organize.
