What would it take for you to vote yes on the next contract ?
I for one want all our concessions back or at least our COLA and Christmas bonus and some new benefits like 2 sick days , 20 more hrs of vacation and better medical. I know I might be dreaming but we need to get a very good contract or vote it down.
Thanks for any input.

Cola, Xmas back and raise to $1000( been $600 for 16 years now). All my performance bonuses from last contract . Plus sign on bonus. ( so $10,000 check at approval)Plus my 3% raise I gave up. Yea health care stuff locked in, not they can raise it when ever. ( or once a year whatever it is)
If Alan can get 56 million bonus and a 48% raise this should be peanuts.
So I will be voting NO

Everything returned from the past sacrifices and a raise as well as a signing bonus....sounds good to me.

Signing bonus $5000...4% raise at signing...3% next 3...COLA back...xmas bonus back...that's all I need. Wow. That would probably get us back to where we would have been at the end of the original '03-'07 contract. Alot of people either don't realize or have completely forgotten how much we have sacrificed since the original contract modificaions in '05. I think the last time our base wage was actually increased was at contract ratification in '03. There was a cola roll-in in '07, but no true base wage increase. Don't forget new hires...they should AT LEAST be able to earn full pay & benefits over a set time period instead of waiting indefinitely for a full pay spot to open up.

The company will never agree to what I want...so expect a whole lot less...like wage freeze for the entire contract...yearly 3% bonus instead...no COLA...no xmas bonus, etc... As for the new hires, we already screwed them...no way they get anything yet.

Scottr your right and the sad thing is that even if we get enough people to vote no our ball less union would never strike and will try to convince us that the contract we voted down is the best we can get. I say never vote yes until we at least get our COLA back and one 3% to 4% raise as well as Christmas bonus back. If we don`t make a financial gain in this contract and things get bad again we will be almost 12 years behind and looking at nothing to gain ahead. People need to wake up and realize that this is our most important contract in 20 years. We must make some gains NOW!!!

you are exactly right...if our hourly rate does not go up during the life of the contract...an easy NO.

I highly doubt we will be getting a pay raise. From what I have read, the union and big 3 have already agreed not to go this route. It's all part of keeping on a level playing field with the foreign company's. I do think we should expect a % pay raise bonus every year.

I remember we were suppose to be getting raises, then the firestone tire thing hit, then sept 11th. During this time, cant remember the exact time, these raises were cancelled. It was suppose to be about a total of $3 if I remember right.
So yeah, id like a Raise most of all(more for retirement that way), cola back(higher gas prices, elec and gas have gone up, so cost of living has increased, so should our cola), id like to see us have overtime back(meaning anything over 8hours is overtime, no 4 10 hour days with no ot, if they want 4 10 hrs, then pay OT), and depending on the outcome of our grievance, id like to see a LARGE signing bonus, cant recall what it was like at LAP with saturdays, but at KTP, its crap the way they have done things, their needs to be at least a 2 week notice for mandatory saturdays. If we are not working, and work is cancelled, we should have notice at least 4 hours before our start time, if not, we get paid. If they try and take more stuff away in any way, NO VOTE.

"I do think we should expect a % pay raise bonus every year."
what the hell is a % pay raise bonus?
its either a % bonus or a pay raise. of course ford would rather give bonuses. what is funny to me is thats probably the most asked for thing on here.
if they give a 3% bonus every year they give you the same money every year, you stay the same.
3% raise and that 3% compounds every year, your rate grows.
people that like bonuses are the same type that like big tax refunds. they either cant handle money or dont understand economics. its a large number of us sad to say.
having said all that if the choice is a % bonus or nothing of course ill take the bonus. its just not what i would start out asking for. youre much better off long term with a rate increase.

We should ask for the same percentages that they have proposed for the execs of this company. They have been pounding us with the "One Ford" message ever since their leadership almost sent us into bankruptcy. They are all for us sharing in the sacrifice, just not in the rewards.

ar15a2- You answered your own question about the % bonus/pay raise I was talking about. The reason there will be no pay raise is because of legacy cost. That pay raise will add up every year, which is good for us, but bad for the company. It will open the gap in the legacy cost, at least that is the way I understand from the articles I have read. I would like to see cola, Christmas bonus, OT over 8 hours and % bonus/pay increase.

I would like to be off this Monday after Easter like we use to be. Bigger Christmas bonus and our extra 1 minute per hour break time restored.
