Does anyone know if the referrals from LAP were supposed to be used at KTP as well? The Temps that were paid off were to be called back to ktp. But referrals generally are plant specific.

Does anyone know if they are bringing in classes in January, I've been through every step just waiting for the start date. I've heard a lot of info from different friends who work there.

A class is coming in Jan 4, 2016 not sure how many but guessing 50 to 80 , probably to replace some of the winners that has came in as of late. jmho.

If everything is going to the 3 crew would there be any crew that gets a shift diff? Also the new hires are they eligible for any of the bonuses?

Christmas bonus, no not this year its over, signing bonus no, its over only happens once at contract ratification. so much misinformation out there , my brother works at Toyota and told me temps at toyota were thinking about quitting & coming to Ford so they could get the $10,000 signing bonus, wow! I know you guys are anxious but be patient, you have no way of knowing if people on here even know, 1 person saying 50-80 a week another 300, most of us just repeat what we've heard, and what we've heard could either be wrong or could change, so hang in there & try to be patient. One that is correct on here is dont call & bug anyone about it, that works some places, not here. The people you are calling are not the ones that hire you ultimately, they are office workers in labor relations, & while at LAP they have improved over the last few years, they have a reputation at both plants for being very rude & unprofessional. A crew gets No shift pay diff. B crew gets a 5% shift pay diff all days worked. While C crew makes a 10% shift pay diff for Monday and Friday work and a 25% shift pay diff for Sat. & Sunday work.. Essentially, C crew makes an additional 7 hours base pay per week over A crew. It's pay for the swing shift and working every weekend. No competative Bonus or Sign on Bonus for new hires after the Contract.. I would also imagine No Profit sharing in 2016 because you didn't work in 2015... FYI..

I had had a shoulder operation years before I hired in and had to give medical all the records from that. It was so old that the surgeon almost didn't have the records. Then I waited and waited. I called labor every day after a while. That was back in the days when Rosie was in labor though. Different world in there now and I wouldn't call these days if it were me

Can someone weigh in on my situation? After being cleared by the plant physician, I was asked to fax in a clearance from my family physician to be cleared by them as well. That has been done too but as I'm sure you can assume I didn't get any confirmation on KTP's end that everything they needed was sufficient and received. My questions are is this unheard of to need to be cleared by both doctors? Also, even though I'm pretty sure I know the answer, will they eventually let me know they got what they needed? I don't want to call and ask per advice reading this forum. I just want to know if what I sent was in fact what they needed. I get its a waiting game so there's no point in even stating how long I've been playing. Went through this in 93' had to be cleared by a surgeon & bring the surgery report to Farmer, believe pretty standard for prior injuries/surgery. Ford just covering their behinds for disability insurance purposes. Was 6 month ordeal start to finish for me. I would make a call just asking for confirmation that they recieved it if you faxed it. As unorganized as this place is I think I would make the call, would suck they didnt get it and they move on. Good Luck

I would call to verify that faxes were received. For sure.
Here's a horror story: when I hired in two brothers I knew went thru the process too. Flying colors the whole way. Then both their names went on the list to get hired, or should have. Problem was, they shared the same surname, and also their first initial. One brothers file was mistakenly put in the other brothers file. One got hired one didn't. By the time they figured out the error the hiring was over. One of those brothers still works here, the other still does not. True story

All I can say is I have also been a part of the long waiting/hiring process. I have went through every step as well. No call yet Lets go Ford KTP, it is time to put all of these good people to work!

Your going the direction of 40 hours.. Except you guys will be in Launch Model for a few Years with this new body change, so they will work as they wish... ( 10, 10.5 11, 11.5 etc.) Lay in there and get it, they will say.. Been there done that... Perpetual Launch is your future for a while...

There is nothing orderly about the way Ford does anything. It is always random and just when you think you figure them out, they totally change just to keep you guessing. It's a miracle these dummies get anything done

Unless your mom is in with leadership i would say your wait will be a bit longer. First few groups will be all of their family & friends, gaurantees them some good seniority eventually. Few weeks/months on someone means alot later on down the road. Good luck
