Seems like some are not seeing the "Bigger" picture here. All we are saying is there is no room for mistakes with our elected officials trying to get us a better contract all eyes are going to be on them. Sure we all make mistakes but this is a really bad time for one like this. From what I saw it was at 4am so that means coming to work or still on the clock in most cases. It was a really bad call on his part. Time and a place for a beer is not on the road coming or going home from work. WAIT till you get home! They have saved several of our members but you have to help yourself first and think of how your actions will effect other people.

We all make mistakes in life and we learn from them. But 3 times of DUI's? Looks like ankle bracelet time.
I just hope that who ever fills his shoes does a dam good job and sticks up for us and throws out "THEY CAN DO THAT" Bullshit.

Now the "person" isn't even listed here anymore. Pretty f-ed up when some elected people are above the law & don't have to face the music! We should watch the court dockets & try to be there during his trial. Otherwise it WILL just go away. I snipped his mugshot & arrest information before it was removed. So it IS still out there & it IS public information even if he did have it removed somehow. |

Not taking sides, nor defending, or have any previous knowledge as I don't keep up with this person, but if this is truly his 3rd offense we would of had our phones plastered with his mug shot and arrest report two times previous to this one.

I just have a hard time believing that Metro Corrections computer software is that far behind technical times. Every other offender's information is correct, why would someone with BIG UNION $DOLLARS$ at his disposal just happen to get his info messed up. It just doesn't fly!

Let's say you own 10 establishments & all 10 have liquor licenses in your name or your company's name. You go down a mile from your house & get hammered at one of your favorite hangouts. Then you risk driving a measly mile back home but get arrested for your first DUI. Well, all of your liquor licences get suspended also. There are times in life when people have to maintain accountability & responsibility. Elected Union Officials should not be out getting DUI's whether it's your 3rd offense or your 1st offense.

One thing for sure, the UAW has many ties with Louisville Metro/Frankfort & they're very capable of making things change or disappear. One of our own is a state Rep. & probably has a lot of pull as well.

Aggravating Circumstances (KRS 189A.010 [11]) Result in higher minimum jail time:
Over 30 mph over speed limit
Wrong way on limited access highway
Causes accident resulting in death or serious physical injury
Alcohol level of .15 or more within 2 hours after operating
Refusal to submit to testing
Transporting passengers under 12 years of age
Third Offense Within a Five Year Period
$500 - 1,000 Fine
30 Days-12 Months Jail*
1 Year of Alcohol or Substance Abuse Treatment
24 to 36 Month License Suspension
10 Days-12 Months Community Labor
*If aggravating circumstances present-60 days imprisonment

One thing everybody is forgetting is we are all human and we make mistakes!! I'm not defending anybody!! I have my demons just like everybody else and in my 17+ at Ford have f-up quite a few times thankfully OUR UNION benefits have saved my life as well as my family!! One thing for certain is u DO NOT PUT ANYBODY ON BLAST FOR MAKING MISTAKES!! And in my opinion who ever started all of this is a rat and should not have the luxury to utilize or be a part of any union brotherhood!! You won't be thinking "brotherhood" the next time he gets hammered behind a wheel & slams into your entire family killing each & every one of them. It was only about a year & a half ago that two KTP workers were killed in the same week by drunk drivers. At least one of them had just left work & was headed home only to be slammed into by a drunk driver driving the wrong way on the Snyder. KTPers can never forget when the High School boyfriend/girlfriend were headed to one of their homes only to be snuffed out by a wrong way drunken driver. That crash happened directly across from the plant & their memorial cross has been in place for over 10 years. |
