You can still opt out of it but I'm not sure about in-progression. You can opt out but that would require some effort, this new generation puts forth no effort . Love Thy Neighbor Ive never seena group of people whine and moan about a generation. Your generation is the worst. Pot smokin cigarette smoking high school dropouts who only gave a shit about getttin high and listening to rock and roll. Now we have to suffer from cigarette smoke being blown in our face from infancy.

And the young generation lives in mommies basement and drives her car. You know the old saying “ if you don’t like it quit “.

Hmm Like to see that🤔..Funny when I text my “new” friends on B,C crew they don’t know shit about what im telling them about. For instance..1 guy texted me about the 7600 profit sharing.I had to break it to him that I’ve NEVER received the “average”amount in 24 yrs..Plus it’s based off wages and hours worked..He said”Damn”..Lmfao

Hmm Your right the younger people are more involved They are always getting the union involved to cover their Awols Instead of just coming to work. Us older people just come to work so we don’t really get the union involved in our day to day life

Gonna be interesting to see how much "better" the company "treats" them if they stop paying dues.

nra4life you are spot on. I took a retirement class when I had about 15 yrs seniority. It was amazing how many folks on the floor, even old timers, didn't understand our retirement structure. The first thing I recommend everyone educating themselves on is "Life Income Benefit". Reason being I encourage this is because legacy employees have not had a raise to their "Life Income Benefit" for about 15 yrs and this is a contract year. This is unacceptable, especially since the 2nd tier employees had a raise to their retirement structure on the last contract. Basically, our retirement hasn't kept up with inflation, even Social Security gives a yearly raise with the last one being about $60 a month. Our retirement use to be good but has failed to keep up over the years. I believe one of the reasons is that folks don't understand the structure. Again, folks please take a retirement class. Looking at the previous posts it appears no one is on the same page! The folks who already think they know everything won't bother with the class. They'll just depend on the glorious wisdom of Jim-Bob Hucklefuck down the line. He day-trades and stuff. Nevermind that good ol' Mr. Hucklefuck doesn't know what dollar cost averaging is, or anything else for that matter. But he bleeds uk blue AND knows some bigger words so he must be alright, right? So years later when they retire unprepared, don't blame ol' Hucklefuckster for his shit advice, or yourself for listening to it. Just blame the union for not giving you enough information, like in a class or something. Oh wait..

Plus...Most info is in our Benefits book.I Wouldn’t ask ANY person shit around this SHITHOLE..Most union members give conflicting answers ?
