Thanks for info. Just out of curiosity: why didn’t GM do as you said we might (strike at supplier plants which in turn would force us into layoffs)?
Seems like that would hurt the company more as they’d be paying sub-pay without getting any trucks out?
Full disclosure: they may have done this. I didn’t follow theirs more than just helping out in Bowling Green for a day.

No subpay after contract has expired. If the Contract gets extended you are working under existing contract & sub pay is paid

It won’t be extended..If it does FAIN looks like a blow hard. And we have ZERO hope of getting a decent contract

I don't wish to start a political argument on here but I wonder if there is a way President Biden can support us if we go on strike. With much of the inflation occurring under the current administration how could he support higher wages due to devaluing of the currency without throwing himself under the bus?
Thanks for keeping this board alive, brothers.

1.) in words only he has supported workers but continues to back corporations.
2.) Fain hasn’t endorsed him for re-Election. Of course that’s a year away so it doesn’t matter much. As aggressive as Fain has seemed prior to expiration, I would assume he would call out Biden if we are on strike. That probably won’t help with anything other than providing an extra spotlight on the situation.
3.) I’d prefer politics to stay out of this.

Just reading between the lines and having an ear around today.
Rejected Stallantis offer Friday. Meetings over last weekend. Confirmed meeting with Stallantis today. Likely offers coming from at least Ford tomorrow. GM offer somewhere in there.
If it’s still a no, FB Live either tomorrow or Wednesday night to announce further action.
That’s how it’s played out so far, at least.
Does MAP run 3 shifts? Or are they 5x8? Just thinking of logistics of getting them (or all striking plants) back up and running once a tentative agreement is reached.

FB Live and additional plants or agreement should be announced tomorrow then huh.
Union meeting tomorrow staying on or being canceled could be telling.
