I've seen many hot days in the convoy lot I've seen many cold days in the convoy lot. I've seen hotter days welding in body shop. I've met a lot of great people at LAP!

things I've seen at Ford. I've seen my supervisor give us money to go get beer on break. because he wanted to drink with us while we were on the line and that was when I was a new hire. How I miss the good old days.

I've seen grown people act like children.
I've seen sane people act like animals.
I've seen new programs come and go, but the same mind set at ford still stays the same. Numbers.
I've seen drug deals, and drug busts.
I've seen men ride guns down the line like bucking broncos.
I've seen fights and friendships.
I've seen back stabbers and truth tellers.
I've seen my dad grow older and retire.
I've seen my dad give more to the union and ford then he can ever get back.
I've seen more money than i knew what to do with.
I've seen myself figure out what to do with the money. lol.
I've seen two engagements, and one wife.
I've seen three children.
I've seen most of my friends leave LAP and go to KTP and wonder if I made the right decision to stay.
I've seen fat people become skinny, and skinny people become fat.
I've seen a louisville cardinal ride down the line in a cart and get nuts and bolts thrown at him.
I've seen a man in a sumo outfit run down the line.
I've seen metal beams get bent to avoid getting hit be a rubbber hose swinging crazy man.
I've seen bosses screwing themselves time and again by treating their people like crap.
I've seen people talk big bit fold quickly.
I've seen money stolen, and money given.
I've seen lives lost and miracles done.
I've seen most of the jobs I wanted someday be cut out or outsourced.
I've seen everything I believe get turned upside down and shaken, but then put back, if in a different order.
I've just about seen it all.

I have been employed at 3 Ford plants in 12 years. I have been in one state at a ford plant and lost my house in the other state due to the economy. I have driven in to work and turned around and left because I just couldn't bring myself to walk through the turnstiles. I have seen people run off the line because they soiled themselves because no one answered the call button. I have seen people rushed away on the "Meat Wagon" I have seen people very hurt and not report it because of drugs or alcohol in their system. I have seen an outpouring of humanity to one another when a coworker is in need. I see whites, African-Americans, Hispanics, salary, hourly, union, gays and lesbians smiling, talking and laughing side by side that otherwise would have never looked at each other. I have also seen them all at odds. I have seen two people wish each other a Merry Christmas and Happy Kwanza without bloodshed. I have seen beer pumped from a keg in the back of an Escort on lunchbreak. I have seen people outside of work with wonderful talents that many co-workers don't know about. I have seen my teenage daughter thank me for never having to "want". I have seen many people take the buyout and not ONE say that they were glad they did. I have seen a man work with his winkie sticking out of his coveralls and shake it at everyone. I have seen a newhire running around looking for fallopian tubes. (sure beats the Thanksgiving Turkey trick) I have seen "Norms Bar" change names 3 times. I have seen what my paychecks and benefits mean to me and my family, especially when I don't have them anymore.

Nice post, thanks for the contribution. I need to add some more since I have been at KTP almost a year now. Maybe I will give my "Things I've seen at KTP in my 1st year". I'm sure many on here will have much to add as well.

I seen the company change over to cheaper bolts to save money. The cheaper bolt was breaking when torque and the company still ran those same bolt, until they got th old ones back.
