To think what HBO is doing with the debt is ok is insane!!!
I'm not saying its ok. I'm saying its a little F'n late to get mad about debt. So when did you start getting mad about debt? Febuary? Thats about 20 years too late.
What I was saying is what has been spent so far is NOT out of line with the past 20 years. It is all TOO much. But, at least stand for what you say you believe. McConnell for example claims the debt is about to destroy our country, then sticks 200 million + in earmarks on one bill. So HIS spending is good spending? There was one person in our area that didn't load up on earmarks and it was Bayh (D). Did you read how much KY and In reps got in earmark money. Almost every Representative did the same thing, flush the earmarks and you could pay for healthcare.
My point being. All this "I'm mad about debt" shit is 20 years too late. They all spend too much, the only difference between the 2 partys is that one admits it and one blames the other guy. I pay 35 percent in taxes, at least if we get healthcare I would feel I am getting SOMETHING back. I don't even get mad about our tax rate. I get mad about the VALUE I am getting for my tax dollar. Yes places in Europe pay about 8 to 10 percent more in taxes. But, they get free healthcare, free college education, so on and so forth. We all pay taxes so someone elses kids can get healtcare or goto college. Hell due to our taxdollars you can get broadband access in Kabul but I cant get it in Indiana. And that is F'n pathetic.
