Cal line/pre-delivery got our (somehow allowed) periodical flyer which singles us out from the rest of the plant last night. It's attached, and I just wanted to warn everyone just in cast we are not the only ones who get this for once. It's a pile of Bullshit!!! Attachments:

LMAO...anything to mess with morale and work environment. If the line stops for one hour, you are supposed to sit there and pick your nose. In no way are you supposed to read anything, eat anything, use your phone, use the plant's electricity, etc... LMAO What a joke!

Well, if I get in trouble for something like this when no jobs are around, and im just sitting on my job waiting on the next job to get there...
I dont see how this will effect quality at all, just to piss us off.
Just like what happened to a pal of mine. Lets right people up for stopping the line to fix stuff. Guess what, he wont stop the line no more for a problem, he will just hope someone else catches the screw up.
If I get in trouble for reading, I will discuss with the Sup what my job should be, to do what my qps sheet says correct? Not to do other peoples jobs correct? Then I guess I wont help out in that dept no more.
Some management just pisses me off.

Like the quality of these vehicles is only affected by what we do in pre-delivery, right? So far, we are the only ones who get this memo. I know whose brain-storm this is. I just hope I catch the right someone walking down the aisle with a bag of chips or on the phone.

LOL predevilery must be like working for a different company all these years cause us in trim have seen this memo numerous times over the years. No cell phones, radios, newspapers, magazines, books, food, DRINKS in the SMF racks..etc... Hell they even tried to take away my microwave and coffe pot for my team a few years back saying it was a safety hazard even though it was locked in my teams personal cabinet. It took 3 days of fighting and the BC to step in to get it resolved.
I think its funny yall act surprised like this is something new....

Perhaps this was because of the three broke down super-dutys scattered along 71 yesterday. Now that's embarassing.

Everyone needs to pull out their QPS sheets and" DO YOUR JOB EXACTLY LIKE IT SAYS" I promise you if everyone does this it will slow the line down! then all you have to say is I'm doing what the sheet says" The Union didn't last this long by sitting back and doing nothing. It's about time the membership takes things into their own hands.

I noticed that the letter is not on company letter head nor did anyone sign it. Looks like somebody wants to stir the pot. If you all believe any and all unsigned letters I'll be sending mine over demanding that hence forth all paychecks will be deposited into my account!

I didn't hire in in pre-delivery, I worked in Trim for 10 1/2 years, been there, done that. This thing comes at least twice a year with just our department heading on it. It doesn't come from Labor, it comes from our management and no one has the balls to sign it like labor does. Then they make us initial a sheet saying that we got it. Our microwaves are gone as of last night. Someone did some kind of test that shows that microwaves affect the wireless antennae which supposedly can cause problems on our testing equipment and scanners. Even though they had a list of 10 or 12 antennae that are damaged around the A aisle, the microwaves seem to be the whole problem to them. We're used to it. I was just trying to warn everyone it is out there again is all.

This situation comes about every so often, they will be hot on it for a while then it uaually eases off. A few years ago during shutdown then plant manager Todd Bryant had all locks cut off and personal items and lockers removed on the Cal Line. The main issue in that area has always been a lack of available electrical power. We have added a tremendous amount of lighting on the Cal line and the Paint Repair bays recently, and there needs to be more according to Ford Standards. The overhead electrical grid and electrical panel boxes are full to capacity. Management is probably using this a an excuse for thier actions. Lay low, don't get in trouble, it will pass.

You are dead-on ktpelec, I was out there when all the cabinets were cleaned out & the ones removed. I do have to say, it is worse for day shift because there are more bosses in the plant who make issue of everything. This launch has everyone on edge. How much electricity do you think their coffee pot, microwaves, and refrigerator uses upstairs in the office. Oops, now I am just being hateful!!!!! We will just bear with it and things will let up.

It's about time the membership takes things into their own hands. Really? The old union maby. The new 15 years and counting since I been here generation union well, between the "they can do that" and "just be thankful you have a job" statements the union will be a thing of the past. Union and I mean all of it has gotten soft and complacent. I know it's tough to come out of a climate controlled office with all the makings of home like the television and nice soft chairs to sit in for hours. With the tournament going on now I bet the shop floor will be absent of all elected members. This is not made to offend anyone but, to tell the feelings of the actual workers on the floor doing the jobs getting harassed. Do I believe that is a real letter "NO" Do I believe we all are treated the same and have to obied by the same rules "NO". I got an idea! How about staying on the floor and in your appointed areas and being there do do the job we elected you do do. Then I bet we won't have all the gossip going around on the internet and floor. We can squash any false documents going around from the start. You need to go to the office? Why? we have several picnic tables you can do the paperwork on. That is the same place I go when I get written up for something silly. I don't have to go to the office. Oh well, They can do that and I'm just thankful I have a job. Oh yeah, allot of good that grievance did on the bonuses. They are laughing their asses off at us.

All I can tell you is the team leaders were given the copies to pass out and a sheet where we had to initial by our names verifying that we got the paper.

The company took away your microwaves? Thats a bucket of Bull Butter!!
Yes its true, you dont have to sign anything. RTS ( refuse to sign) is what the company will put down next to your name which basically says they still informed you so YOU were instructed the info. So when the time comes for discipline you cant say you didnt know.

IF you sign anything request a copy of it. BY LAW they are required to give you a copy of what ever you sign. If everyone asked for a copy of the paper they sign that will cost ford money for paper and toner. The only way to get ford attention is in the wallet. Just my two cents worth.

The simple fact is...this should be taken care of above our heads. The Bargaining Committee should put a stop to this type of BS. It is their job.
Line workers have more to worry about than being harrassed by supervisors trying to validate the existance of their jobs.

It is not the supervisor in this case, it comes from "Above" him.

Yeah, but remember most line supervisors are puppets and not allowed to think for themselves.

Add me to the list of people that is laughing that this letter shocks ANY of you. We get this letter and they do the radio/ microwave sweep once a year, twice some years. Its just standard BS. They check for this stuff like they are instructed to do and forget about it a week later. Most supervisors at KTP will tell ya straight up to take it home for a week and when to bring it back. Been going on for years and years.
P.S. A friend that of mine that went to LAP got written up and his TV confiscated last week while watching the UK game out there in trim. He was pissed because all the LAP people told him that they never care about TVs there. lol I wouldnt say its only a KTP issue. Its just a what kind of day is supervision having issue .

LAP put out a letter once that said "No Booing" on it.
I swear I am not making that up.

Calvin the no booing was added because every time they took a person to labor. Everyone would start chanting Nah na Nah Nah hey hey good bye. LOL. and also when new people came through an area everyone would yell and taunt them.. Oh the things assembly line workers will do to pass time.
