A MANDATORY Saturday turns into, do you want to work, if not, we will get someone to cover your job?? Why try to bully some into working and piss everyone off? Why not just announce a Saturday shift and poll the lowest o.t. shift? Then poll the other shifts and go from there. I never did see a single MEMO about all this. My so-called committeeman was nowhere to be seen FRIDAY. typical!! It makes too much sense to do it the right way. KTP + UAW 862= Priceless!!! ROFL

So if you did not show up to work on Saturday do you have to go into Labor Relations to check in or bypass that and go straight to the line?

OK, failure to work scheduled OT" (for the record that is the penalty) not "failure to follow. Call it what you want, Regardless it is not a penalty that is tallied with regular AWOLs. My committeman (defended the company) and told me that "the company don't have to tell you until Friday." I informed him that I don't have to show up. .............. All I know is , I sure enjoyed my Saturday off. ;D

I thought the food was good. I would rather have my Christmas bonus but the lunch was good.

Lunch was good, thanks to UAW for getting the company to do that because it wasn't the company willingly doing it on their own. Yes Christmas bonus would be nice but we have to get that back in fall of 2011 with the new contract(hopefully shared sacrifice greivance will pan out). Like to reinforce what Kess replied to in regard to OT issues and being able to file greivances even if TL made the error. I was a TL for many years and I know that Kess is right because I had it happen within my team. Management instructed me on how to survey and I followed instructions to the tee. Of course their instruction was wrong and one of my teammates won his greivance and enjoyed getting his free pay. Management was ticked off at me but that wasn't the first time nor was it the last. All I did was follow instruction.
