It says "Canvass" & Kessinger has it worded "Official"?? Is it a survey or is it an official sign up? I wish someone would post something about KCAP going to Louisville "Official" or "Canvass" , "Rumors" or even "Lies"......."something" Ok I'll put the " " away now!

It's being presented to us as "official" survey...your reply is your final response...no reversal.

We understood KCAP would be surveyed first to 'follow their product'...now, it's like KCAP is being surveyed last. Go figure...

Well I'm the wife of a KCAP skilled tradesman, so I only hear what my non listening husband tells me and what I get on this website...but supposedly they've surveyed KCAP skilled trades, now my landlord is on the truck line at KCAP and said they were surveying production....so I really don't know what the heck is going on, I just know nothing "official" has happened yet at KCAP, so I'm still waiting! Waiting to go to KY!!!!

You should get your chance...but I don't see many coming from KCAP. My guess...under 100.

I think all the ones that are here (KCAP) that came from Nashville Glass will probably transfer and I think some from St.Louis have mentioned going to LAP. I heard (rumors) of some people at KCAP sign up for everything and then never go anywhere, so who knows!!!

In case some don't know...GTFO= GET THE FUCK OUT!
P.S Scott is one of the few that back up what they say.

the ones who get to come back yall should come back first before kcap LAP is ur home plant ......thats the way i thought it shouldbe anyway...... In order: 1) Transfer of operations is first.(Following of product) In this case, KCAP employees following product(Escape) get put on LAP rolls first. Michigan employees were put on KTP rolls and brought in before LAPers. LAPers got on rolls at CAP following Explorer first, etc. 2) RTBU's come second.(appendix O) All employees in the Ford system with RTBU rights to return to LAP will be put on a list and returned by seniority. That means they are surveying CAP, CAP stamping, Lima, and KTP for employees to return. They will be brought in by seniority. 3) After that, all in zone transfers. 4) After there is a job posting of remaining jobs, KTP should have the ability to sign up for the right to go to LAP. Scott Eskridge and Steve Stone have been working on this. How many they will allow is yet to be determined. 5) Hiring from the street of 'Two-Tier' workers. I hope this helps.

LMAO...I understand why many (myself included) would look like crybabies. But there are crybabies crying because they are babies...then there are screamers, not crying, but screaming and demanding what is right. But as for the suckasses...all you have to do is open your eyes and look around, they are everywhere. I love KTP...it's exactly what I thought it would be. Best of luck to everyone...I'm a KTP'er FOR 11.8 MORE YEARS!!!! CAN I GET A K...T...P

in reply to Tony V i do not think your hierarchy is correct.please check again I personally asked it of the international. I've read it for myself. I've had it explained to me by Steve Stone. I had it answered by Scott Eskridge. I believe this to be accurate.

ScottR has officialy come full circle. WOW.
onelove, this is the real deal. This is the chance to sign up if you wish to go.
gocards: I'll answer any questions you have. But I can not answer questions that have to be answered by an LAP bargainer. Such as the whens, the sen. , bid jobs and such....sorry but they have to provide that info., I do not have first hand access to that information.
Other than your contractual rights in the transfer Steve or one of the LAP bargainers will have to answer your other questions.
gocards: we handed out the complete language on the COA word for word. So, I am unsure how you were not informed. But ok.
I know there are alot of questions about what shift you will be on. But, I don't think there is any way to answer that question with the amount of people involved that could be moving. So if someone gives you an answer to that, be very skeptical of that answer.
And yes 4 days is a short time span to decide. But, lets be honest we all have known this would be coming. And most have been asking for it to come ASAP.

And to balance 30 yr pace. There are alot of good people that came from LAP, I know we are losing at least one real good teamleader who already signed up. 68 people on the go home list so far.

Updated count would be greatly appreciated...daily maybe? Thanks Kess! As for my 'full circle' trip...I had a few speed bumps during my time at KTP...and there will be more. But times have been good since I got away from incompetent supervision/union representation. When I am faced with either, I will continue to voice my concerns. I enjoyed my time on the frame line...enjoyed my time on the fit team (great group...good team leaders/repairmen-both shifts)...awesome bunch of guys I tagged on box line...same for group I tagged on 11-7 cab framer...Melinda sup on 11-7 was a great sup to work for...Sean Smith in frame was good to work for...Tom Wilson in stamping seems like he's gonna be great to work with. So there have been many highlights to go with the few speed bumps. Hell...I'm almost ready to call this place Semi-Happy Land.

re:Tony V Where do laid off out of zone and closing facilities fall into this hierarchy? I believe that would be step 3 in preferential placement arrangements in appendix N for combined out-of-zone. You would need to verify this with the union. Appendix N is on page 219 of volume 1.(Master agreement) So after 4 and before 5. Most of the above post dealt only with step 1 and 2 of appendix N.(In-Zone) There are formally 8 steps to preferential placement arrangements. The very last step is rehires and new hires.

Rodney just spoke to Steve Stone and asked if he would mind coming to our hall and having a "town hall" for you guys about your return, questions such as LAP's shift patterns, plans, so on and so forth. He will be at the hall Wed. from 2:00 To 4:30 maybe beyond if needed. So stop by if you have those types of questions.
Thanks Steve for doing that. And keep in mind the launch there is in the early stages so he may not have answers to every question but I am sure he will answer everything he can.
To clear up the contractual questions we have had. If you say no, you DO NOT lose your RTBU rights for a layoff. If you are laid off here at KTP for an ILO you would THEN have to decided to go back or stay here and that decision would be final as to where your home plant would be.
But if you say no to this transfer you would still have that right if there was a layoff. What you would lose is the opportunity in the future for them to ask you to transfer back if LAP needed people. You would only go back if there was an ILO the involved you at KTP.
Tony is right on the RTBU's as he usualy is.

let me add...if you have 1992 or better seniority, you ought to transfer to LAP...gtfo as someone posted. Why? If you got that seniority at KTP, I imagine you only got about 400 over you in the whole plant. A buddy of mine with '89 seniority has been riding the gravy train for two years. Started out in body, went to torque inspector, and now has an inspector job in stamping.
