Thinking of transferring to KTP but can’t get any solid answers on some things, please honest answers. 1- How are area’s set up regarding the truck and SUV , is there a separate trim and chassis for both? 2- How many jobs per team? 3-What is line speed for trim and chassis? 4- Are you all on tag relief or mass relief in Trim and chassis? 5- How many people does it take to run a shift?
Thanks in advance for any info.

None of my questions pertained to seniority, was just trying to get some questions answered about how KTP is run.

Not sure but its the same way at DTP. Bodyshop & the rest of the plants inside the Rouge are separate. I think the big difference between the unions is there is more "they can do that" at KTP being that it is a MOA plant.

Thanks for the answers! Not really worried about being welcomed, I come for a job not coming to piss anyone off or hurt there feelings, but if that happens because someone comes for a job then so be in! I come to pay bills and provide for my family just like everyone else that has been hired.( never met anyone that just works at Ford for the fun of it)
How many hours a day do y’all work?

Hours worked are usually all dependent on 1) Number for the shift 2)Order bank # 3) Breakdown time. Not necessarily in that order.

Only thing that matters is you were hired by Ford Motor Company not by an individual plant.

Since SUV Trim is separate, do they work different hours than truck Trim? Also if there is say downtime for SUV is whole plant down or just SUV side? Just trying figure out how separate trim works and one chassis.

No. At one point certain areas at times would and could effect plant uptime.

Yes 2 flat tops in chassis that runs to Toe In and then Rolls Test. Chassis 1 runs dually's, chassis cabs and single axle trucks. Chassis 2 runs Navigator, Expedition and single axle trucks.

Both trim shops will run different line times. Yes they can shut down a trim shop if there is a problem. We have ran nothing but SUV's or Trucks for a week at a time. I'\m not sure about the engine line, but there are 2 chassis lines and frame lines.

5. As of March 26, 2018 KTP employed 8165 hourly employees (including 4095 in-progression & 411 TPT's). Subtract the 878 skilled trades and divide by 3 crews gives you 2,429 unskilled hourly workers to run each shift.

How often do they post bid jobs? Promotional bids are posted as openings become available. Sometimes weeks go by with no bids posted. Sometimes bids are posted for several weeks running.
