The UAW's position is that vehicles sold in the USA need to be assembled in the USA. Pretty much the same position as taken by President Donald J. Trump.
To that end, the UAW wants GM to commit to introducing new vehicles for assembly at Lordstown and Detrot-Hamtramck. GM does not want to do so. And so the contract talks are at a stalemate.

They never paid back $11B of the bail out money they took from us, they don’t pay income taxes, and they left the taxpayers on the line for 20K or so pensions when they spun off Delphi. from what i read if you have 4 or more you go to top, less than 4 you’re still on the 8 year plan and less than a year you’re also on a 4 year to top out. so i’m currently at 3 years and 10 months i guess i get nothing lol
